Construction documentation by someone who's spent 30 years on jobsites. Orthomosaic maps, stockpile volumes, cut/fill tracking and as-built records — delivered in 48 hours. All prices in CAD, before HST, and are starting fees for sites up to 20 ha (about 50 acres). Every price below is built from the ground the job actually covers, not a per-flight guess — a bigger or more complex site is quoted before you commit.
Measured data your project manager can bill against, defend in a progress dispute, or hand to the client without translating it first.
Best for active sites running six months or longer. The first capture carries ground-control setup; every capture after it is $950.
Covers up to six stockpiles per site; $45 per additional pile. First survey establishes permanent ground control and check points — every visit after it is $1,350. Quarries, ready-mix, civil contractors, landscape supply.
Catching over-excavation in week two costs a fraction of finding it at closeout. Check points flown every visit — grading moves the ground the control sits on.
Bid off measured ground. A conventional topo survey runs $2,500+.
The record of what was actually built, on the day it was finished. $1,100 where I already hold ground control on the site from earlier work.
Property managers, facility owners, engineering firms. Imagery and findings only — no mapping, no ground control.
FPV jobsite flythroughs, progress films, recruiting reels and documentary work are produced by the production side of the business, Buildmode Studio. Same operator, same certificate, priced separately.
If you want footage out of the same site visit as a mapping capture, say so when you enquire — one mobilization covers both and the travel is only paid once.
Travel included: London, St. Thomas, Dorchester, Ingersoll, Strathroy, Woodstock and Stratford, plus anywhere else within 45 km of London. Beyond that: travel is quoted as its own line on the job — a mobilization is a real cost and I’d rather show it than bury it. Ask and I’ll put a number on it before you commit.
48 hours from capture to delivered report, standard. Processing runs overnight; the work is in the analysis, not the waiting.
Build Mode Digital Inc. o/a Buildmode Aerial Mapping, Ontario BIN 1001719291, holding Transport Canada RPAS Operator Certificate OC2623804121 under CAR 901.214. The certificate, the insurance and the invoice all name the same legal entity — which is the question a good prequalification process asks and a lot of operators can't answer cleanly. Commercial general liability and aviation liability are bound at $2,000,000, raised per engagement where your contract requires it; a certificate of insurance is provided before shoot day.
Flight planning, airspace clearance and the site survey are handled before shoot day. The Advanced certificate covers controlled airspace. You don't touch any of it.
Captures are rescheduled, not charged, when wind or precipitation puts the flight outside limits. Hard numbers, not pilot discretion.
Stockpile count, site size and whether ground control already exists. The starting prices on this page cover sites up to 20 ha (about 50 acres); past that the flight and the processing both grow, and I put a number on it before you commit. A first visit carries target placement and coordinate capture; those targets are permanent, so every visit after it is cheaper. That's why the recurring number is the one worth looking at.
Not a legal survey. I don't set boundaries or stamp plans — call an OLS for that. This replaces the phone-camera site walks between survey visits.
Volumes come from a photogrammetric surface model built from the capture, measured against a base plane or your previous surface. Imagery is flown on a DJI Matrice 4E with RTK positioning from a GNSS base set up on site, and ground control and check points are set with a GNSS rover. Same base point, flight pattern and altitude every visit, so month-over-month change is directly comparable. I don't publish a blanket tolerance figure — an accuracy number only means something with independent check points behind it, and I won't quote one I can't back. If your contract needs a verified tolerance, tell me before the job: I'll price it with check points included and report the measured results for that job, following the ASPRS Positional Accuracy Standards (2023).
Twenty minutes over your site, and a sample of the output within 48 hours — stills, a clipped section of orthomosaic and one page of a real report. A sample, not a deliverable: no full-site map, no volumes, no measured quantities. Enough to judge the work before you spend anything.
